What sets your company apart from other firms?
We offer quality, HR expertise with some unique specialties. Many of our counterparts offer great services as well. We encourage potential clients to consider the best fit for their organization when assessing options. Compare package offerings, specialties, support method, years of experience, certifications and even personality “fit.”
Most of the HR experts in this local market don’t view each other as competition but rather kindred spirits. As consultants, we are glad some companies realize the importance of Human Resources for their organization. Our biggest “competition” is not really each other, but rather the do-it-yourselfers who attempt to wear the HR hat instead of focusing on their business specialty. We know the HR landmines many business owners don’t even realize exist. Just give us a call and learn more about what we do. If we are not a fit, we can gladly refer you to another firm that may be a better match for your needs.
What services do you offer?

How much do your services cost?
Our price varies by the type of service your company needs. Rates may be hourly, based on project or billed monthly as with our Premier Client Package.
Isn’t using a “Consultant” Expensive?
No. The investment is based on the cost/benefit. In the short run, do-it-yourselfers who own a business find it less expensive to (try to) go it alone. In the long run, the cost of an owner’s time, costs associated with the core business suffering, liability exposure, etc. is MUCH more expensive than a consultant.
Other options instead of an HR Consultant include: A full time HR expert, a payroll service with an HR component, a PEO with a high per hour mark-up, or Labor and Employment Attorney. In most all cases, you’ll find the HR consultant less expensive. There is a definite need for an Employment Attorney but basic HR transactions are best suited for a firm like ours.
What do you mean by ‘cost/benefit’?
When companies invest in anything they should consider the cost/benefit ratio. It doesn’t have to be a complicated formula or process. Sometimes it is the intangible that counts. For example, if your company has an HR audit, and several I-9 forms are corrected that ‘could’ equate to thousands of dollars in fines avoided. A less tangible but equally important benefit is the high cost of low morale. If O’Peka Consulting assists with Management Mentoring the results may be better employee morale. That will impact the cost of turnover, affect customer service, create greater productivity and more. When a company focuses on the people aspect of their business, they see results everywhere and it really does affect the bottom line.
