Cindy O'Peka SPHR --President & Senior Consultant


Cindy’s expertise in Human Resources spans over 20 years. Her experience includes managing HR for both Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups. The number of employees ranged from 50 to 6,000 in both blue and white collar industries. She has extensive management experience overseeing the operations of over 25 HR Managers. Her knowledge of HR Compliance goes beyond her own state of California. She has overseen HR for both national and international corporations.


Education & Training

Cindy holds a B.S. in Business Management with an emphasis on finance. She is a certified Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) the highest accreditation possible in Human Resources. In addition to her B.S. she holds a two year degree specializing in management. Cindy is also a Certified Mediator with the State of California. With her extensive "people skills" background she has been able to prove instrumental to clients with Employee Relations assistance and Management Mentoring.


Compensation Specialty

Early in her career she became fascinated with the very complex world of Compensation. This has become one of her specialties assisting both private and public sector employers with their compensation projects. She is an instructor as U.C. Davis Extension teaching a class in Compensation Management.


Strategic HR

With decades of experience she has overseen her share of company transitions. She has extensive experience in company downsizing, layoffs, mergers, and acquisitions. She has led numerous organizations  through the corporate culture transition with great success. Her executive level background in HR has enabled her to assist clients with strategic planning. Despite her executive level roles in large national and international companies, she has an affinity for the smaller employer.


 


Rita Hardy-HR Consultant

Rita Hardy has an extensive background in Human Resources. She started her career working for a top employment agency handling all aspects of the Human Resources function.  It was there she honed her skills in recruitment and selection.   She then moved up the career ladder to a Human Resources role in the Medical Services Industry. She worked for one of the largest medical services organizations in the Sacramento Region.  After taking some time off to care for her newborn son, (who is now almost 3 and counting...) she joined O'Peka Consulting.  Rita has led large client research projects as well as assisted with the day-to-day HR Compliance and recruitment at our firm.  She knows that administration, legal research and Human Resources all go hand in hand.  So we are excited to announce that she has recently become a certified Paralegal.  These services will be offered via law firms.  Congratulations Rita for being so diverse in your knowledge and expertise.  

Treaver K. Hodson -Labor & Employment Attorney
